Kathy Chadd Recruitment is Herefordshire's biggest and most successful independent recruitment agency. Owned and run by local people who understand both the needs of the local employer and employee alike.

THE SEVENTIES

The late Kathy Chadd opened for business in 1978.
Working from a small first floor office, just a stones throw from our current location on East Street in Hereford, Kathy Chadd Secretarial Services, as it was known then, provided typing services for local businesses.

THE EIGHTIES

The idea caught on quickly and before long many of Kathy's clients were asking her to provide temporary secretarial cover at their own premises.
So much so that Kathy had to ask family and friends, with suitable administrative skills, to work for her as temporary employees.

From providing reliable temporary staff to cover secretarial and administration positions, other clients started to turn to Kathy to fill many other positions - Accountants and Accounts Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Personal Assistants, to name just a few.
Of course, with her local contacts, Kathy was able to help!

And that's how Kathy Chadd Recruitment was born.

THE NINETIES

In 1991, and just in her early 40's, Kathy Chadd lost her long fight against cancer. Kathy's family sold Kathy Chadd Recruitment.

Under new ownership, the temporary staff requirements continued to grow and the agency started to place selected employees into full time positions too.

In 1999 Lesley Hepworth joined as Business Manager.

THE 21st CENTURY

The new Kathy Chadd Recruitment database proves to be a great sucess. Hundreds of people looking for temporary and permanent employment join the agency every month, as well as a substantial number of clients looking for temporary and full time employees.

22nd January 2001 Lesley Hepworth and business partner, Mike Morgan, bought Kathy Chadd Recruitment.

3rd April 2006 Kathy Chadd Recruitment became a Limited Company.
